Fashion Designer Launched A Line Of Reversible Bridal Dresses Inspired By A Client Who Couldn't Decide Between Fabrics

New Zealand fashion designer Trish Peng has come up with a brilliant idea—A wedding dress range of reversible dresses. It was a bolt of inspiration after a client of hers couldn’t decide between fabrics, and runs on top of trends of brides opting for two dresses on their special days.

The designer has created a collection of dresses available on her website that have both the sleek white wedding dress look as well as a lacy or textured fabric on the other. Some are all white while others also have the option of a rosy hue.

They are perfect for the practical bride who wants to go from the formal ceremony to the party or reception with ease. The line’s gorgeous dresses are all named after clients that Peng has worked with and debuted at the 2019 New York Bridal Fashion Week.

Peng had the inspiration to create the line after she spoke with a client of hers who could not decide between a minimalist look or a lacy, classic choice. The Metro reports that Peng then created possibly the first ever reversible wedding dress.

The fabrics can be switched with the use of small hand-sewn zippers on the sides, something that Peng devised once she could only find double-sided sleeping bag zippers that were much too bulky.

Trish Peng has always thought outside the box and already made headlines back in 2016 for an evening-wear piece that broke records for the longest train on a New Zealand Fashion Week catwalk.
