The show was introduced by Michael Strahan and Tom Brady, who stood among emergency responders and the event’s attendees. Strahan wore a “NOLA Strong” T-shirt, while Brady donned a Los Angeles Fire Department shirt. Strahan spoke about the resilience of New Orleans after the recent terrorist attack: “This year began with a terror attack that tried to shatter its spirit. But the resilience of New Orleans is matched by the resolve of our country.” 

Brady then emphasized the importance of unity amidst tragedy: “When tragedy strikes, we don’t break, we come together. We rise above and never let evil win.” As their words resonated with the crowd, the camera shifted to Lady Gaga on stage. 

Lady Gaga’s performance featured her powerful 2022 ballad “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick.” She sat at a piano in an elegant all-white suit with a large, dramatic hat.
