Keanu Reeves is proving himself to be such a treasure especially after recent stories have come out about his incredible politeness with fans and colleagues. He radiates kindness that just can’t be faked, and he is a talented good-looking movie star to boot.

The most recent story of his enduring kindness was picked up by Twitter user @KemziLinzi after he noticed Reeves employing a particular habit when taking photos with fans. This gentlemanly action that he noticed was found in multiple photos including with fellow star Dolly Parton.

Do you see it? It seems that Keanu has been hovering his hand above the waists and arms of different women that take photos with him. The viral tweet has almost reached 400,000 likes with 78,000 retweets. Some of the comments support the idea that this act proves Reeves is respectful of women (calling him a “respectful king”), while others think it is a paranoid move to come out in front of any accusations related to the #MeToo movement.

Some are also pointing out that this is a custom found in many Asian countries, and the term even has a name: it’s “manner hands”. Since Keanu is of Asian heritage (his dad is of Chinese-Hawaiian descent, according to IMDB), it’s possible that he might have picked up the custom from his Chinese relatives.

What do you think about Keanu’s hover hands? Is it respect for women, paranoia, a traditional cultural custom, or something else? Let us know in the comments and be sure to spread the word about this article to have others join the discussion.
