Jamie and Christy Bruesche made the ultimate sacrifice for their family when they sold all of their things and moved to Brownsburg, Indiana. The couple even sold their house in the process.

The family needed to be closer to Riley Children's Hospital so that their son, Cody, could get the medical attention that he needed. The four-year-old has a rare chromosome disorder. But after moving closer the family they were targeted by thieves.

Jamie and Christy told WXIN that Cody has already been put through multiple surgeries. The boy has been clinically dead 19 times but always fights back. But when the couple went to the unit to check on their belongings, they were met with the worst news. Thieves had broken into the storage unit and stolen all of the gifts for Cody and his 11-year-old brother.

The thieves had stolen countless expensive items, including a hoverboard, an Xbox headset, remote control cars, and more, Jamie and Christy were understandably devastated. However, their fortune turned around just 24 hours later when their new community came through in an amazing way.

The storage facility, a youth wrestling gym, and other community members all pitched in to help the family replace every single item that was stolen. Brownsburg police are investigating the case. So far no arrests have been made, WXIN reports.
