When Diana Rowland retired from her job at the police department, she took up fantasy writing. One of her favourite fantasy characters to write about are dragons, which take a prominent part in her stories.

So one year her husband bought Diana a collection of inflatable dragons for a Halloween display. Each year, when the holiday comes around, Diana proudly displays her collection of inflatable dragons in her front yard.

This year the dragons went up for Halloween and didn’t come down after that holiday. The dragons got dressed up in winter clothing so they could stay up through Christmas and even afterwards. Most of her neighbours got a kick out of her dragon display — all except one.

An anonymous letter appeared in the family’s mailbox. The letter stated that he or she was offended by the dragons. This person tolerated them during Halloween. The writer of the note also said that the display made the neighbours think Diana’s family was in a demonic cult. The letter ended with, “May God bless you and help you to know the true meaning of Christmas.”

Diana went on to post the original anonymous letter on her Twitter account. Then she came back to that page with an update for her followers. She shared her revenge-filled response on Twitter so the message would be sure to get back to the anonymous individual who wrote the letter to her.
