Family Built A Ford Mustang Out Of Snow And An Officer Gave It A 'Ticket'

If you live in an area where it snows, you may have built a few snowmen. Perhaps you helped your children build several snowmen that almost looked real. Did you ever build a car out of snow? This is a true story about a car made from snow and the trooper who thought the vehicle was real.

In Omaha, Nebraska, March 20 does not resemble the first day of spring. Frequent snowstorms make March feel more like winter. After one of these typical Nebraska snowstorms, Jason Blundell and his teenage children helped their neighbors by offering to shovel snow in their driveways.

While engaged in volunteer work, the family decided to have some fun.

They took the shoveled snow, grabbed a few tools, and began to carve a sculpture of a Ford Mustang. The Blundell family built the snowy Ford Mustang replica with great care. In fact, the sculpture looked like a real vehicle.

Wishing to make their efforts known around town, they posted a picture of the "snow-mobile" on social media. Sgt. Mick Downing, A Nebraska State Patrol Officer, was a friend of the Blundell family.

He saw the photograph and wanted to play a practical joke on the Blundells.

Dressed in uniform, Office Downing parked his patrol car near the "snow-mobile" and placed a tow-away notice on the" windshield." He then shared a video on social media about the illegally parked "car." Hundreds of thousands of people have viewed the video on the Nebraska State Patrol's social media page.

You may wonder how the Blundells managed to make the vehicle look so authentic. They used tools consisting of concrete wood floats, ice scrapers, and a squirt bottle. Although they worked hard at creating a replica out of snow, the Blundell family never thought their car would attract viewers from all over the world. Officer Downing was equally surprised.

Although this story is incredible, another person also built a car replica from snow. Simon Laprise, a resident of Canada, once created a vehicle that stumped police officers for a few minutes.

When they realized that the car was made out of snow, they laughed and placed a note on the "windshield" stating that the vehicle "made their night."

Even though snow inspires creativity, residents of Nebraska will hopefully welcome warmer spring weather in the near future.
