Families Go On A Hysterical Laughter Riot Playing The Plastic Wrap Ball Party Game

Nov 29, 2018 by apost team

The season for Christmas parties is upon us! It's time to get out the decorations, start planning the food, and come up with the best games for this year's festivities.

One party game, in particular, is making the rounds on social media. It's cheap, fast, and easy. All it requires is your favorite party favors and one or two rolls of plastic wrap.

This game is known as Saran Wrap Ball. Quite like the classic party game, Hot Potato, the Saran Wrap Ball game puts a new twist on our holiday pass-the-parcel favorites. The prizes for the game will depend on the type of favors you have. In addition to your plastic wrap, you'll need the following items to start the game:

  • One pair of dice
  • Party favors to put inside the saran wrap. (Think outside the box for these favors. Popular choices are coins, gift cards, candy, toys, etc.)
  • Oven mitts or gloves (optional)

In order to play the game, gather the whole party into one large circle. This game works better with everybody surrounding the table or sitting next to each other on the floor.

The first people to play the game will start by unwrapping the ball. Next, the player on the right will begin to roll the dice.

When the player holding the dice rolls doubles, the dice and the ball are then passed towards the right. This way, the person who was holding the dice will be able to begin unwrapping the ball. Then, the player that is to their right will roll the dice.

As you play the game, any prizes that are unwrapped are yours to keep! That's really all that's involved in this game.

The game is basically a way to see how many items you can unwrap before the next person rolls the dice again.

Want to make the game a bit more challenging? Bring out the oven mitts!

With mitts on, the person with the saran wrap ball will really have to fight to get the prize.

Any sort of plastic wrap is fine for this game. If you really want to watch the players struggle, consider using the Press and Seal type of wrap.

Additionally, the person that is in charge of putting the ball together should save a very special surprise in the middle of the ball for the final winner.
