Facts About Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi– The Property Tycoon Who's About To Marry Into The British Royal Family

Buckingham Palace has confirmed Princess Beatrice’s wedding date. 

The Royal family announced this morning that Princess Beatrice of York, 31, will be marrying her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 36, on May 29 this year. As Royal fans across the globe get excited to witness yet another extravagant Royal wedding, we’re sharing the details we know about the Mozzi so far.

The princess began dating the millionaire property developer around the time of her sister Eugenie's wedding that took place in October 2018. They announced their engagement after Edoardo proposed in September 2019.
According to the BBC, Mozzi, who is known by his inner circle as “Edo,” is a property tycoon and a descendant of Italian aristocracy. He is currently the director of Banda, a property development firm.

The 36-year-old has an impressive portfolio, as he is reported to have developed more than 400,000 sq ft of property in London at an estimated value of £700m by the time he turned 30.
Mozzi is also the co-founder of the charity Cricket Builds Hope, a charity that aims to promote positive social change in Rwanda through coaching people in cricket.

Before becoming involved with Princess Beatrice, Mozzi was engaged to Dara Huang, with whom he shares a young song named Wolfie who was born in 2016. 

His father Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi is a count and former Olympic Alpine Skier who competed for Britain in the 1972 WInter Olympics in Japan.

The Royal family took to their official Instagram account today to announce Princess Beatrice and her fiance, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, will marry on May 29 this year. 

 

“The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020. The couple became engaged in Italy in September 2019,” the post is captioned.

The post also confirmed the location for the wedding, which is said to be the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace. 

 

The ceremony will be followed by an intimate ceremony hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.

According to the Mirror, the couple have requested the public not send them gifts for the occasion. Instead, they have asked royal fans to donate to two charities of their choice: Big Choice and Cricket Builds Hope.
