The world stopped on April 29, 2011, to witness Kate Middleton exchange vows with Prince William at a beautiful ceremony in Westminster Abbey, London. According to Vogue, the grand event garnered 2 billion television viewers worldwide. In addition, the outlet ranked Kate and William's wedding ceremony as No. 1 out of 23 most memorable royal weddings of all time.
According to Town & Country, Kate met William in 2001 while attending the University of St. Andrews. The couple began dating shortly after. Although their relationship was hidden for some time, in 2004, a photo was snapped of the couple on a ski trip and their relationship quickly became public. The couple split briefly in 2007, but true love always prevails, and they have been together ever since. In 2010, William proposed to Kate while in Kenya with his mother, Princess Diana's ring.
Since their special day, Kate gracefully stepped into her role as Duchess of Cambridge before later becoming the Princess of Wales in September 2022 following Queen Elizabeth II's passing. According to Express, Kate has ranked among the top most popular liked royal family members in their annual survey. She placed second in the survey, beating her husband William and following closely behind the late Queen Elizabeth.
Along with balancing their royal duties, Kate and William started a family. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named George Alexander Louis, in 2013. In 2015, they welcomed their second child, a girl named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. In 2018, the couple welcomed another member to the growing royal family, a son they named Louis Arthur Charles.
It's been over a decade since the Prince and Princess of Wales first tied the knot, but the couple is still very much in love.

Kate's silent confidence has not only attracted the admiration of thousands worldwide but also serves as a strength for William, Prince of Wales. The couple faced much tension during their 2022 controversial Caribbean tour. Although the tour was in celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, according to People, William and Kate encountered many protests from the Caribbean nations. Citizens of the countries called for slavery reparations and for the late monarch to step down as the head of state. According to the outlet, William and Kate's Caribbean tour cost British taxpayers $275,000.
Body language expert Judi James spoke with Express and explained how William's body language showed that he was "riddled with gestures and rituals of anxiety." James noted that in moments of high anxiety, it was Kate who calmed William's nerves.
"It has been Kate flashing smiles of encouragement and approval in his direction," James noted. "Adding some flirtatious hair-preen gestures in there for good measure."
According to James, throughout the tour, Kate's body language and selective style choice showcased her confidence and foreshadowed her future status as a world leader. "Kate's strong, statement red jacket and white trousers seemed to underline or illustrate this signal of dominance," James noted, commenting on Kate's style choice as she boarded a flight to Jamaica.
"Her wave is confident, with the palm turned outward and almost flat," James added, mentioning the way Kate engaged with the press. "Her smile and posture suggest she is more than prepared for her role as future Queen."
Although William and Kate's Caribbean tour was engulfed in controversy, the Princess of Wales remained confident and reassured William's feelings. During the tour, James referred to Kate as a "royal star" for her charming appearance.

Although they have been married for over a decade, William and Kate often make headlines for their flirtatious behavior and doting glances in public. In 2022, the couple showed affection for one another in a series of heartwarming photos. Kate cheered on William while watching him play polo at the Royal Charity Polo Cup 2022 at Guards Polo Club. The couple was photographed holding hands, exchanging laughs and even sharing a kiss.
Body language expert Judi James spoke with Daily Mail, about the couple's "natural chemistry."
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's natural and coordinated chemistry together is easily illustrated during these kisses and other PDAs at polo," James said.
"They manage to perform the more formal reward kiss perfectly while giving hints and cues to signal the actual depth of their relationship," she added. "And how they would normally behave with more intimacy when they were out of public view."
Although William and Kate have been together for over 20 years, James mentioned that their playful behavior in public gives their love a youthful feel.
"They later walked off with their arms around each other's waists, like a young couple on a first date," the body expert commented.
"Their eye contact as they close in for the kiss," she said. "This level of close-quarters eye contact shows a very loving relationship. Kate's eye-gaze even moves down to William's lips, which is a flirtatious gesture,” James added.
After 11 years of marriage and three children, the Prince and Princess of Wales' love and affection for each other has withstood the test of time.
