Excited Toddler Ring Bearer Runs Down The Aisle To Greet His Mother

The bride walking down the aisle is one of the most memorable moments of any wedding. For the groom, it is the first time he has seen his bride that day, and he anxiously awaits for her to meet him at the altar. For the bride, everyone's eyes in the room are on her as she glides down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband. This unforgettable moment became a thousand times more sentimental for Kristie Mihelich when her 2-year-old son, Pierson, ran down the aisle to meet her.

Kristie Mihelich wed her then-fiance Bobby Mihelich on April 22, at the Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfield, Michigan, in front of their friends and family. According to Yahoo, the couple met as business partners but quickly fell in love. The couple initially planned to wed earlier, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed their nuptials. When the ceremony began, Kristie's soon-to-be husband stood at the altar alongside their 2-year-old son, Pierson, who was the ringer bearer. The toddler became overwhelmed with joy when his mother appeared on the furthest end of the aisle. As his father shed a few tears, Pierson shouted to his mother and ran down the aisle to hug her.

The affectionate moment was caught on camera by several guests at the event and quickly became a viral video. The couple's niece, Samantha Mihelich, posted a video clip from the moment on TikTik. The video has received 1.4million views. Kristie also shared the happy moment on her Instagram and received an outpouring of love and support.

In an interview with Good Morning America, the Troy, Michigan, native explained that the adorable moment was not planned.

"We were always planning on having Pierson as the ring bearer because he is such an outgoing, charismatic, just natural little entertainer, and we thought this would be just perfect role for him," Kristie told the Good Morning America. "The night before, at the rehearsal dinner, it wasn't really going that way. He really just wanted to run around the venue and sort of just be a two-year-old."

Although Pierson was not the ideal ring bearer initially, the charismatic toddler stole the show on the day of the wedding. The newlywed, Kristie Mihelich, retold her son's surprising reaction to the outlet.

"They both see me down at the aisle and their jaws dropped and he said, 'Huh?' like he was like, 'Hi mom!' and he shook both of his hands vigorously and then he just bolts toward me," Mihelich recalled.

"It was the sweetest thing" she said. "I thought that he would just stand there and wait for me but no, he was running to his mommy."

During her interview with Today, Kristie recalled the moment and stated that she "could have gone home right then and been so happy with my wedding." But Pierson's showstopping antics didn't stop there. After his parents' wedding ceremony, the outgoing toddler took to the dance floor to get the party started.

"After we had dinner, and like I was saying, he's like a little performer," Kristie shared with Good Morning America. "He ate his dinner and headed straight to the dance floor and he did not leave the dance floor dancing until midnight."
