She gave a holiday performance that left viewers in awe and divided with mixed reactions shared across social media.

At 42, Clarkson looked radiant as she took center stage to perform her festive single, "You for Christmas," bringing a holiday warmth to the competition. 

She donned a gorgeous gown with feathered trim along the sleeves and skirt, evoking a sense of holiday elegance. Her hair was up in retro-inspired curls, and she wore a bold red lip, adding a glamorous touch to her ensemble. 

Clarkson's return to The Voice stirred memories of her successful tenure as a coach. Joining in Season 14 and staying until Season 21, she won four times, establishing herself as a mentoring powerhouse. 

After that, Clarkson focused on The Kelly Clarkson Show, a staple of daytime TV. The Emmy Award-winning program, praised for its mix of humor, heartfelt moments, and celebrity interviews, has become a fan favorite, consistently ranking as one of the top-rated talk shows in the country. 

Clarkson is both the host and the executive producer, working alongside Alex Duda to create a must-watch experience. 

The show's success showcases her versatility as an entertainer and cements her legacy as a multifaceted star in the entertainment world. 

Ahead of her performance on The Voice, she shared a behind-the-scenes video, giving fans a glimpse of her preparations as she dressed, styled, and rehearsed with the crew.

In the clip, the singer looked thrilled to return, saying:

"I love it! I love being back on The Voice." 

Clarkson also expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the supportive crew and the positive energy on set. While Clarkson's performance sparked various reactions, some fans saluted her powerful vocals and festive spirit, while others offered more critical views. 

Some praise included comments like, "Next to Whitney Houston she has got one of the best voices ever (sic)" and "she is an amazing singer…she gets better and better… (sic)." 

Another excited user admired her skills:

However, there was a lot of dissatisfaction, with one person saying:

"What a 'YELLER'. You call that singing. Oh my. She hurt my ears with the screeching."

On the same note, someone shared: "She is doing a lot of yelling," while another added: "Not one of her best, and I didn't think I'd ever say that about Kelly."

One user gave their two cents:

"Kelly has a great voice, this was not one of her best. Little to much screaming. Watch her every day, her looks change every day also. The bright red lip stick does nothing for her (sic)."

Users also commented on the production, noting that it overshadowed her voice: "I had a hard time hearing anyone's voices. The music was so loud and overshadowed everyone's voice." 

One disappointed commenter wrote:

"Not impressed."

Some fans saluted her talent with comments like, "Unbelievable talent!!! To be like @kellyclarkson" and "The crowd went crazy after that insane whistle note at the end."

But others were critical of her, with one user asking: "Why are you screaming, Kelly? You have the most ridiculously, amazing, beautiful voice, but…"

And another person complained:

"Too much yelling for a Christmas song."
