Having leukemia, at any age, can be a big scare for most people. Most of your time is spent in the hospital for chemo treatment and the rest is in bed to recuperate. Fortunately for 14-year-old Aiden Yielding from Fort Worth, Texas, he has two loving parents that can give him lots of support. His father has been supporting him by putting up performances outside the hospital so his son can enjoy a few laughs. This family's love for each other shines through in this video from September 23, 2020.

Since early 2020, Aiden has been fighting this disease and has had to spend a good amount of time in the hospital, reports CBS DFW. His mom, Lori, works at the same hospital where he receives treatment and can, thankfully, see him as much as possible.

However, Aiden’s father, Chuck, is not able to visit since he can only have one visitor due to the kind of treatment he is receiving and the COVID-19 rules the hospital has enforced. This will not, fortunately, stop his father from showing his son how much he loves and cares about him. Being the creative person that he is, Chuck found a fun way to show Aiden he is supporting him every step of the way.

The Video

Every Tuesday, Chuck puts on a dance show for his son under the window of the room he currently resides during that week, according to CBS DFW. Aiden just has to look down and smile as he watches his loving dad in either the parking lot or grass do his latest performance.

In the video, you see Chuck wearing an orange and black outfit with a gray shirt on top, with matching shoes slide back and forth as he dances with no music. He is staring up at the window where Aiden is, making sure he can see him.

The next shot shows Aiden laughing and waving back at his father. When he has the strength, he tries to mimic the same moves his father makes. Chuck tells the reporter in the video that he tries to communicate with his son the best way that he can. Aiden, with a big smile on his face, loves figuring out what kind of dance moves his father is going to do every time he stops by.

Aiden is able to come home sometimes during the week, but that one day out of the week makes Chuck want to do everything he can to show how much he loves and supports his son. Lori, Aiden’s mom, records her husband each time he visits to let him know where he should be to do his special moves. She enjoys all of the wiggling and jumping around her husband does, just like their son.

While video chatting at home, Aiden, Lori, and Chuck talk about how the family is everything to them and they do whatever it takes to help one another. They are a close family that will do whatever it takes to make one other happy. You can see Chuck choke up a bit as his son talks about how he enjoys seeing his father be there for him and how much it makes him laugh.

Leukemia is a frightening diagnosis to have that requires a lot of treatment to combat it. Aiden is fortunate to have a loving and supportive family that wants to keep his spirits up.
