Ethan Hawke Applauds Daughter Maya For Breakout 'Stranger Things' Role

Ethan Hawke took to Instagram to sing his daughter, Maya Hawke's, praises for her starring role in the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things." Although this is not Maya's first gig on the big screen, her dad made sure to dote on her big time. 

Over the weekend, Hawke bragged about Maya Hawke's acting ability for her role as Robin on the final season of "Stranger Things." He shared a promo video for the series featuring his daughter turning around with ominous music playing and fireworks exploding in the background. He wrote alongside the video,

"Some of you may have missed her in last year’s BBC production of Little Women. Some of you may have missed her work at Juilliard. I know many missed out on numerous high school productions — heck I even missed a few and I’m her father..."

The "Training Day" star continued saying, "Some of you may know her music, some may not. But Ladies & Gentleman, get to know MAYA HAWKE. She’s the real thing. #StrangerThings." 

Other stars were also quick to chime-in in the comments sections, Andy Cohen wrote, "She sure is!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!" And Sophie Turner who played Sansa Stark on the HBO series "Game Of Thrones" commented on the actor's post, "She's INCREDIBLE." 

Maya's mother, Uma Thurman, who is Hawke's ex-wife and also a famous star herself boasted about her daughter on Instagram too. She posted a picture of Maya on a mermaid looking pool float relaxing while captioning the photo,

"My victorious loving mermaid daughter. A weekend of triumph on Stranger Things. Congratulations beloved Maya Hawke."
