Enthusiastic 73-Year-Old Grandma Proves Age Is Only A Number On AGT

Age is more about how you feel than anything. One 73-year-old grandma, Josefina Monasterio, proves just that by impressing judges and audiences on the hit TV show America's Got Talent this season. At any age, keeping your body physically fit and adhering to a healthy diet can be a struggle. In fact, as we age being physically fit and eating healthfully can take a back burner, as we become more relaxed in our daily habits. Yet this contestant shows the world that it is possible to age gracefully and in shape.

Staying fit and eating a proper diet can be difficult even when your family is wealthy. When you come from a humble background, like contestant Josefina Monasterio, it can be nearly impossible. As she details in AGT's video feature, Josefina moved to the United States in 1973 in hope of a better future for herself and her family. As many other immigrants do, she was forced to find a trade that could fuel both her life and soul. Becoming a teacher and raising a family of her allowed her to do just that. However, guests would never imagine Monasterio's background was this simple.

As she walked out on stage onto one of the world's largest television sets, the jaws of guests and judges, alike, dropped. Sporting a tiny, shiny bikini, Josefina put her perfectly toned body on display for the world to see. With a slim and trim body that highlights every muscle, guests go wild when Josefina reveals her age to the judges. While hard work is done in private, the results shine through when this grandma struts her stuff on stage for the world to see. 

Giving her a boost of confidence, host Terry Crews runs out on stage to join her with his shirt off giving the audience more entertainment. Proving to the audience that staying fit doesn't have to be boring, Monasterio and Crews light up the crowd with their fun-filled antics.
