Gordon Ramsay settled into his role as a celebrity chef in an ignoble way. Ramsay likes to make fun of others. In particular, Ramsay says terrible things about other chef's cooking. He even trashes specific dishes, regardless of who makes them.
Ramsay enjoys presenting a negative, "car wreck" approach to television cooking. Don't expect a Julia Childs 'approach when watching him prepare meals and muse over others' shortcomings. But Karma came for Ramsay when Chef Chang felt Ramsay's version of a Pad Thai was way off.

Ramsay may have fans and followers, but he also has detractors. People with abrasive attitudes tend to make enemies. Not too long ago, Ramsay botched cooking Pad Thai, the Thai noodle dish, reports SBS. The embarrassing event exists on video, and detractors have a good laugh over his misfortune.
Ramsay was not alone in the video. Chang, a fellow celebrity chef who gained fame at The Blue Elephant, joined Ramsay. Chang tasted the Pad Thai and could not hide his disdain.

Chang even said, "This is not Pad Thai at all." Chang pointed out Pad Thai needs to be sweet, sour, and salty. The look on Chang's face reveals he found Ramsay's version, one that added some special ingredients, downright awful. Even some large prawns did nothing to make the Pad Thai any good, at least as far as Chang was concerned.
In fairness, Ramsay likely made a nice-tasting dish. However, what he made was not close to traditional Pad Thai. Perhaps Ramsay's decision to add other ingredients led to a less-than-desirable outcome.
Ramsay cannot brush off his mistake. Millions of people viewed the video online and on cable broadcasts. Ramsay may never live his mistake down. Videos tend to last forever, especially when they feature an egocentric celebrity fumbling and faltering.
Maybe there is a lesson to discover here. Even those who achieve great success in their careers must avoid the trap of becoming too full of themselves. Reality may catch them off-guard one day.
