Emotional Last Plea For Bonded Pair Of Dogs To Be Adopted Together Reaches Far And Wide

Mar 11, 2019 by apost team

The greatest traits of a dog is loyalty. It's not just loyalty to their owner but loyalty to each other as well.

The two dogs in need of rescuing found a special bond with one another. It became apparent that it wasn't enough for them to be adopted.

They needed to be kept together so that they could keep on making memories and stay comfortable.

The dogs, adorably named Han and Solo, are actually brothers. They were discovered next to their mother's brutalized body. The thoughtful action of a kind soul meant that Han and Solo would have another chance at life. He brought them to Los Angeles so that they could be taken care of.

Along the way, the two of them formed an incredible attachment. The difficulty of their situation meant that they needed to lean on each other.

Dogs Without Borders, the organization who took the brothers in, reports that there have been quite a few challenges. For one, Solo got sick, which meant he couldn't risk being around any other dogs who hadn't had his disease (Han experienced the illness previously, so Solo wasn't a risk). While they were spending time in different homes, it was becoming quite doubtful if they would be able to find a lasting one.

As much as the organization tried, the odds of a shared home for the dogs seemed increasingly small. Taking to social media, they made a plea for someone to bring Han and Solo both into their home. Tens of thousands of people shared the post, which was captioned:

"Well, guys, this is our last plea and final attempt. Unless there is a miracle, Han and Solo are going to have to be separated.

Last November we opened our doors to a pair of deeply bonded dogs: Han & Solo. They are brothers who were discovered as tiny puppies, lying next to the broken body of their mother who had been stabbed to death, her womb cut in half. She was likely killed just for sport. "

Eventually, they announced on the 13th of February this year that Han and Solo found themselves a home with a loving Los Angeles family. They now have a permanent residence where they'll be looked after and be able to enjoy each other's company. This has been a long and difficult journey for the two brothers, but it's one that paid off.

This is a story that reminds us of the goodness of people. Han and Solo first needed to be taken care of. Then, they needed to be kept together. Dogs Without Borders kept their needs in mind every step of the way. It was apparent that there was no option but to find them a home together. Han and Solo can now enjoy a wonderful and comfortable existence.
