Many people are lucky enough to get amazing qualities from their family members. Maybe it's receiving great genetics and having great health throughout your life or taking on similar physical characteristics. In Hollywood, it seems like talent runs in several families, including the Roberts family.

Some of the more well-known members of this family include actor Eric Roberts, his sister and actress Julia Roberts, and Eric's daughter Emma Roberts. This means that Emma, who is also an actress, is Julia's niece.

Julia has been one of the top leading ladies in Hollywood for over three decades since she first starred in the 1990 film "Pretty Woman." Before, Julia received recognition thanks to her roles in "Mystic Pizza" and "Steel Magnolias," but her filmography from the 1990s put her on the map. Her decades-spanning career has brought her numerous accolades, grossing over $3.9 billion globally at the box office. However, she has done her best to live a private life, marrying cinematographer Daniel Moder in 2002 and having three children together.

As for Emma, she found fame at a young age thanks to her turn in the TV series "Unfabulous" before going on to take on more adult roles in shows like "Scream Queens" and "American Horror Story." She has also found fame in films such as "Nancy Drew," "It's Kind of a Funny Story," and "We're the Millers.

While Emma is an actress in her own right, she has only starred with her aunt in one film, "Valentine's Day." However, in an upcoming 2023 movie, "Maybe I Do," Emma has expressed her excitement about working with one of her aunt's previous co-stars, a person she has idolized long before – Richard Gere.

While both women have made names for themselves in the industry, they have also shown how strong they are together professionally and personally as family members.

Julia, despite being a successful actress, doesn't believe in advising striving stars. "My first response is don't take advice from actors," she said. "Because everybody's experience is unique – should be unique." Still, it's hard to believe that Emma didn't learn a thing or two from her famous aunt.

According to People MagazineEmma witnessed Julia in action while sitting on movie sets such as "Erin Brockovich" and "America's Sweethearts."

She explained, "I would ask questions without a filter. This industry really is 'learn as you go.'"

However, Emma had her own career plans.

"I never aspired to be her," she said, referring to her aunt. "I love her so much, I love her work, but I'm just doing my own thing."

Fortunately, the two women shared the screen together in the 2010 film "Valentine's Day." Since she took big roles in film and television, Emma has been nominated and recognized for her work.

In 2014, she won Choice Movie Actress in Comedy at the Teen Choice Awards, Best Kiss for "We're The Millers" at the MTV Movie Awards, Best Performance in a Feature Film for Supporting Young Actress in 2007's "Aquamarine," and Best Actress in a Supporting Role for "I Am Michael" at the FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival.

After starring in the romantic comedy film "About Fate" in 2022, Emma was cast in a star-studded film with Julia's former co-star Gere, who she worked with on "Pretty Woman," and "Runaway Bride."

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Emma confessed her excitement about the idea of working with Gere in the movie "Maybe I Do," who played as her father.

"I loved him in 'Runaway Bride' and 'Pretty Woman,'" Emma told the outlet during the Cinema Society screening of the flick. "Obviously, he's worked with my aunt. So to get to work with him felt like full circle."

Aside from Gere, Emma will also be working with other celebrities like Emmy-winning actor William H. Macy, Oscar winner Susan Sarandon, and the Hollywood icon Diane Keaton

In the same interview, Emma gushed about Keaton and vocally expressed her admiration for the Tony Award-winning actress.

"I feel like I could just watch a live stream of Diane Keaton all day because she is just so funny and so smart and so talented," she went on to elaborate. "Even her mannerisms are so Diane Keaton. So, it was just really fun just to share breathing space with her."

Meanwhile, Gere praised Emma for her work on the film, pointing out how the young actress delivered despite the pressure of her aunt's name.

"Obviously I loved working with her aunt, but she's her own person. She has her own career and does things her own way," he revealed to People Magazine. "She has one of the most difficult roles, the straight and narrow among the crazy adults. I think she did great."

"Maybe I Do" stars four seasoned actors (Gere, Sarandon, Keaton, and Macey), portraying two married couples intertwined by the complexity of their affairs with each other. While they were engrossed in their own personal dramas, their children, played by Emma and Luke Bracey, confessed to wanting to get married – unleashing a whole new set of problems for the already challenged family.
