Emilia Clarke currently rides high atop Hollywood's ladder of success. Although the Game of Thrones TV series concludes this year, Clarke will forever maintain international fame thanks to playing the role of Daenerys on the series. A little more newsworthy notoriety landed in front of her thanks to the actions of a funny mascot.

Clarke attended the Houston Rockets vs. the Golden State Warriors game at the Toyota Center. She did not expect to draw much attention since fans were surely focused on the game itself. After all, the event was the Western Conference Semifinal.

The mascot dropped a coffee cup right in front of Clarke, and then immediately bent at the knee. The two actions tie into Game of Thrones lore. Bending at the knee represents servitude to a monarch. Clarke's character is the "Queen of the Dragons," so bending at the knee makes pop culture sense.

The coffee cup may represent a recent blooper on the show. During a feast scene, a Starbucks coffee cup was visible. Obviously, no modern Starbucks locations exist in the medieval fantasy world the series takes place.

Clarke will probably never live the Starbucks blooper down. Maybe that is a good thing. The blooper adds some levity to the often dark and violent television show.

Clarke enjoyed the attention. Fans had a laugh at her expense, and then everyone turned their attention back to the all-important game.
