For his 1970 documentary Elvis: That's the Way It Is, the late singer Elvis Presley recorded a medley which included his song Little Sister and the Beatles' Get Back.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the documentary's release.

Recorded on July 29, 1970, this studio rehearsal version of the Little Sister and Get Back is now available on youtube.

Little Sister was a 1961 hit by Elvis, written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman. Ultimate Classic Rock describes the track as "innocence lost and budding sexuality", saying that the blend of its cool, delicate percussion and "smoking" guitar work of Hank Garland helped it get imprinted on the minds of rock musicians since then. Some examples include Robert Plant and Pearl Jam, who have performed the song in concert.

On March 2, it was announced that a remastered version of the documentary will be released in April to celebrate 50 years since the film’s original 1970 release. This feature-length documentary and concert film features performances including Love Me Tender, Heartbreak Hotel, and Suspicious Minds.

In a statement by the CEO of Trafalgar Releasing Marc Allenbyhe says that this project is in collaboration with Warner Bros. and Authentic Brand Group.

It’s been 50 years since this career-changing documentary about The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll was released, yet the lasting legacy of Elvis Presley and his music can be seen more clearly than ever in film, music and culture.”

Besides Little Sister, Elvis also did his take on the Beatles' Get Back.

One commenter wrote, "I wonder how John, Paul, Ringo, and George reacted when they saw this." We wonder, too.

It's heartwarming to see the king of rock and roll looking happy and healthy. Pass this along to your friends and family, especially those who are Elvis fans.
