It has been over 45 years since the passing of rock and country music legend Elvis Presley. Lisa Marie, the late daughter of Elvis, worked hard to keep her father's legacy alive through her own music.

Tragically, Lisa, passed away at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, 2023. According to TMZ, Lisa was pronounced dead after she was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, where she was taken after suffering cardiac arrest that morning.

Her mother, Priscilla Presley, said in a statement to the outlet that the family was "shocked" and "devastated" by the tragic death of her daughter. They are also "profoundly grateful" for the support, love and prayers of their fans and were seeking privacy during the rather difficult time.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Priscilla, and her three living children, Riley, Harper and Finley.

In 2018, Lisa Marie paid tribute to her father when she took to the vocal booth and recorded a song with some old material of his. She took Elvis's vocals from "Where No One Stands Alone" and added her own flavor to it.

Throughout her life, Lisa Marie often turned to her father for motivation. Even four decades after he'd died, Elvis still provided Lisa Marie with advice, life lessons and motivation. For example, Lisa Marie went through her own struggles associated with addiction in her lifetime.

Even though her father had been gone for so long, Elvis was there to help her with her problems. In fact, when she attempted to lay the vocals down for her song, she turned to her father for help.

The song was a way for her to feel a connection with her father.
