Elton John And James Corden Joke Around During Carpool Karaoke

Elton John accompanies talk show host James Corden to work on a recent episode of "Carpool Karaoke".

The episode actually starts off in Elton John’s garage as James Corden, the host of the Late Late Show, calls the award-winning musician asking him if he would like to help him get to work.

After Elton John gets in, the two entertainers start driving through Los Angeles smashing some of Elton John's greatest hits, such as “Your Song”, “Tiny Dancer” and “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me."

In between songs Corden and Elton John talked about the musician’s legendary outfit choices over the years. The singer revealed that the reason for his striking looks on stage was actually the fact that as a pianist it was harder for him to attract attention.

“I was never a lead vocalist. Not like Bowie or Jagger. I was playing the piano,” Elton John explained. “I wasn’t a sex symbol, and so I had fun with my outfits. And I just went with it.”

Corden also asked Elton John if he ever feels like he’s achieved it all being the absolute legend that he is. However, the musician simply replied that he doesn’t look back, and is instead someone who only looks forward. 

He revealed that he still has “the energy of a 20-year-old” and that he wants to carry on, for as he says “once you stop, you die”

Well, in that case, we all hope that Elton John carries on forever as the world would definitely be a much sadder place without him.
