Over the years, Disney has come up with several movies, but none has surpassed the film we all love The Lion King. Part of The Lion King's success is attributable to its outstanding soundtrack, along with the iconic song Circle of Life. We thought the song couldn't get any better, but that was until Andrea Bocelli and Elton John performed an incredible duet of the Lion King track at the Colosseum in Rome back in 2017.

The original song was composed by Elton John while Tim Rice wrote the lyrics. At the event, John was entertaining the audience with a series of classic tunes, including Your Song and Tiny Dancer.

However, the best part of the evening was when Andrea Bocelli joined him for The Lion King's iconic song. The two legendary performers had deep chemistry and harmonies that were a joy to recall.

The performance was an unforgettable presentation achieved by two legends. In the film, Elton starts by singing the lyrics of the iconic song while his partner stands silently near his organ. The video's soundtrack had Elton's recording as well as the movie version. However, the tune was nominated for an Academy Award, but unfortunately, it lost to Can You Feel the Love Tonight, another Lion King track.

When the song gets to the chorus, Andrea takes over, and instead of singing in English, he sings the lyrics in Italian. The results are just marvelous, and it is a special treat to listen to the two legends singing in Italian. Elton then takes over the mic, and he is dressed in an eye-catching outfit that glitters in the spotlight. At the end of the song, Bocelli then tunes his language to English and finishes the song holding a high-tone for an extended period.

Since 1994, the song has been one of the favorites for most music fans. However, the song got a different treatment when the two legends teamed up and sung in Italian ascent at the Colosseum. The event was a seven-day charity festival held to raise funds for the Muhammed Ali Parkinson Center and Andrea's foundation, according to ABC News.

Other artists featured in the event included David Foster, Steven Tyler, Reba McEntire, and others. However, only a few were able to lighten the stage like Elton John and Andrea Bocelli. Since then, the video has had over 500,000 views on YouTube, where numerous fans appreciated them for their musical gifts that they are blessed with.
