Elephant Orphanage Introduces Sweet Rescue To New Family

A recent video of an orphaned baby elephant getting a new home with a new herd has recently hit the internet and it has quickly drawn a large fanbase of viewers. There can be little doubt that elephants are one of the most intelligent animals in the world and their social structure often reminds us of our own. This video posted on April 17th, 2020 to the HERD Elephant Orphanage South Africa Youtube account shows just how family-based elephants are. 

With this in mind, it is no surprise that the video of a baby elephant being brought to South Africa's HERD Elephant Orphanage has drawn a lot of interest and has warmed the hearts of countless people that have had a chance to see this emotional video.

The heartwarming scene is taken to a new level when this orphaned young elephant finds acceptance with its new herd.

Khanyisa is a small elephant with a whole lot of spirit. She is homeless no more now that she has come to the HERD Elephant Orphanage. She now gets to spend her days with other rescued elephants including Setombe and her daughter Klaserie. At first, the elephants were a bit unsure about the arrival of Khanyisa, but they soon warmed to her. She now has a new adoptive mother named Lundi and is settling in with her new herd quite happily.

Seeing Khanyisa so happy to have a family is a beautiful sight and it is clear that the bond between her and her adoptive mother Lundi is growing quickly. It is impossible to have anything but the utmost respect for the great work that is being done by the staff at HERD Elephant Orphanage and Khanyisa is perfect proof of this.

Since this video first hit the web, the little elephant has quickly earned a devoted fanbase that is happy to see her,  it quickly drew the attention of animal lovers around the world.

They have been drawn in by the story of an orphaned elephant that is now getting a second chance at life and of having her own family. She truly has amazing human caretakers and a great elephant family.
