It is always difficult to lose a beloved pet. It doesn’t matter how much time you may have had to prepare for their passing.
Pets are full of love and support when they are with us, and it is very hard to work your way through the death of one.
It takes a lot of time and emotional support to get back to normal after you have to say goodbye.
However, it is even harder when you do not have anyone close to cry to. When that happens, the loss of a pet can feel even more overwhelming than it already is. That was the case for a woman in Rome, Georgia. She recently had to deal with the passing of her two cats.

According to FOX, She was so upset that she called 911 for help. Luckily, she was connected with a very kind and understanding dispatcher who listened to her story. The lady can be heard on the recording telling the dispatcher that she is 61-years-old and doesn’t have any family.
She didn’t know what happened to her cat and didn’t know who to call. She also apologized for calling emergency services. The dispatcher assured her that it was okay that she called. The elderly woman continued that she didn’t need anyone to check up on her; she just wasn’t sure of who to call.
The dispatcher decided that it was best if a police officer went out to her home to check on her anyway. Officer Dylan Wright was the one who answered the call and went to the home to offer the lady comfort.
When he got there, he was able to confirm that the elderly lady did indeed live alone and had no close family. He then left, purchased a shovel with his personal money, then came back to dig a grave for the cat.
