Have you ever wished you could turn invisible? A magician and a few of his friends collaborated to trick a man into thinking that he was turned invisible.

In a Craigslist ad, Justin Wilman described a need for volunteers to be part of his upcoming Netflix program called "Magic For Humans." He gathered the people who responded to the ad together at a park and proceeded to tell them about a prank plan he had up his sleeve.

During the beginning of the prank, the people who were in on the prank sat gathered around Wilman at a park where he was doing some magic tricks for their entertainment. Next, he chose Jonathan, a random passerby who had walked up to see what was going on, to be a volunteer for his next trick. Unbeknownst to Jonathan, the rest of the crowd was in on a well-planned prank aimed at convincing him he was going to become invisible.

Jonathan was seated in a chair. Wilman proceded to use "magic" to allegedly turn Jonathan invisible by throwing a blanket over him and then removing it. A woman then took a picture standing behind Jonathan's chair. When he looked at the screen displaying the picture, Jonathan didn't see himself in the chair. When Jonathan attempted to get the attention of people in the crowd they pretended like he wasn't even there.

In reality, the woman had posed for the picture when the chair was empty earlier in the day.

Later, another victim was chosen for the same prank. His name was Brandon, and the magician also pretended to turn him invisible. Wilman then pretended to get called away on an important phone call before transforming Brandon back to being visible again.

During the time that elapsed, Brandon started to show clear signs of panic at the prospect of no one in the crowd being able to see that he was there.

The crowd of people who were in on the hoax did an excellent job of tricking both Jonathan and Brandon into believing they were invisible. The point of the little experiment, according to Wilman, was to see how easy it was to convince someone of the impossible by getting a whole crowd to go along with the joke.

Wilman said his inspiration was his experience as a child having the "Tooth Fairy" leave money under his pillow. He wanted to see how much evidence it would take to get someone to believe invisibility was real. It turns out that it didn't take much evidence at all, just a convincing crowd!
