Ed Sheeran Officially Confirms That He And Cherry Seaborn Are Married

Ed Sheeran popped the question to his long-time girlfriend Cherry Seaborn back in 2017, and ever since then, there have been rumors swirling about their wedding and engagement. The rumor mill can now cease since Sheeran just confirmed that he and Cherry are now man and wife.

Sheeran sat down with Charlamagne Tha God in an interview for Ed’s Youtube channel about the new “No.6 Collaborations Project” album. He spoke about the songs, but dropped a few tidbits about his personal life as well.

When the two spoke about the Eminem and 50 Cent song “Remember the Name,” Ed focused in on the lyrics that say, “Watch how the lyrics in the songs might get twisted / My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick.”

“It was actually before me and Cherry got married and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out,” He tells Charlamagne. “Someone’s gonna hear that and be like, ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed, but obviously it’s already come out.”

He casually dropped a considerable information bomb to his interviewer and to the fans all around the world who will see the video.

Sheeran also gushed about his wife Cherry to Charlamagne in amazement saying, 

“You could literally be with whoever you wanted, and you've chosen me. And I'm saying all of the things that I think are wrong with me, but you still want to be with me,'" he says. "And I just find that amazing."

The Sun reported back in February on a top-secret wedding over the Christmas holidays. Sources told the paper that it was a quiet family and close friends only ceremony on their country estate in Suffolk. Sources said that it was a guest list of about 40 people with “no fuss” for a “tiny winter wedding.”

“It’s amazing that he’s the biggest pop star in the world but he was just able to quietly slide off and wed,” the source told The Sun.

There are also reportedly plans for a larger summer ceremony for those famous pals who didn’t make it to this one. If that were to happen, Ed Sheeran BFF Taylor Swift would potentially be in attendance.
