Last year, as part of the NBC "Elvis All-Star Tribute", Ed Sheeran took to the mic with a moving rendition of "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" that Elvis brought to further prominence in the movie Blue Hawaii.

A significant amount of artists spanning many different genres gathered together to perform some of Elvis' greatest hits. This tribute concert was a rendition of the iconic 1968 performance that helped to reignite the King's career. Ed Sheeran was one artist out of an entire setlist that offered to perform at the concert.

John Legend, Post Malone, Carrie Underwood, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Lopez and a host of other prominent artists were also in attendance.

Unlike many of the other performers, Sheeran was not on the recreated stage of Elvis' famed 1968 Comeback Special. Instead, he was accompanied by a multi-person chorus that helped to give the song more ambiance and power. The added harmonies complemented Sheeran's powerful vocals. Elvis recorded "Can't Help Falling in Love" for his Blue Hawaii album.

Elvis Presley performed the famous 1968 special on NBC after spending over seven years in the movie business. This concert helped to reignite his career and solidified his position as the King of Rock and Roll.

Some other highlights of the night included J Lo's rendition of "Heartbreak Hotel" and Carrie Underwood's duet with Yolanda Adams. Adam Lambert sang an energetic version of "Blue Suede Shoes". Post Malone gave a surprise performance of "Baby What You Want Me to Do" as reported by Rolling Stone.
