Ed Sheeran Apparently 'Married Childhood Sweetheart In Secret Ceremony' Right Before Christmas

Heart around the world have broken as the 'Shape of You' singer has tied the knot! According to various reports, Ed Sheeran and his childhood sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn, rekindled their former love and have sealed the deal with an intimate ceremony and reception in their home country of England. It was certainly a Christmas to remember for Sheeran and his darling bride.

The couple met when they were eleven years old and attended day school together in Suffolk. Their puppy love wasn't something they'd forget, even though they grew apart as the 'Perfect' singer chased his musical dreams while Seaborn pursued a career on Wall Street after studying Molecular Biology at Duke University. As fate would have it, their paths crossed again at none other than T-Swift's memorable Independence Day Party in the summer of 2015.

According to Sheeran himself, "I had like six shows [around New York in 2015]. It was around then, and we reconnected. I went on tour again, and then I went to Taylor’s 4th of July party. I was texting [Seaborn], and she was like, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,’ and I was like, ‘So am I.’ I kinda said to Taylor, ‘Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ The rest is history."<br>

Their marriage comes as no surprise since Sheeran took to Instagram to share their engagement in January of 2018. Since then, their wedding plans were steadily underway. They were, unfortunately, unable to go with Plan A, which was purportedly to have the wedding at Sheeran's estate in Framlingham when permits didn't go through. Instead, they said "I do" at a small church near Seaborn's family home in Wingfield.

Only close, longtime friends and family attended the ceremony with forty people in total, including the happy couple. Afterward, they celebrated in Sheeran style at a local pub, where they danced the night away.
