One dad got the surprise of a lifetime when he was able to see all seven of his daughters decked out in a wedding dress all at the same time.

When Willie Shelton was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he lamented that he would never be able to fulfill his greatest life wish of walking all of his girls down the wedding aisle.

The US Army veteran’s health was rapidly declining, making it obvious to his loved ones that this wish would never be granted.

Until the Shelton family worked together to hatch an incredible plan. In only three days, Willie’s wife Cheryl worked with all seven of her daughters to make Willie's wish come true. The family reached out to LifeCare Hospice, David’s Bridal wedding boutique, a local hair salon, and a professional photographer to make Willie's dream come alive before he passed away.

At the time of the surprise, Willie thought he was only giving away his daughter Emily as she renewed her vows. Instead, all seven of his girls had procured a wedding dress so that Willie could see them all dressed up in white.

During Emily's backyard vow renewal ceremony, all seven girls emerged one by one from the house wearing a wedding gown. Once Willie realized what was happening, he was helped from his wheelchair so that he could stand with each one of his daughters. Two weeks later, Willie passed away knowing that his wish had been granted.

In the video below, you can learn more about this story and see how Willie's hometown of Millersburg, Ohio has decided to honor the memory of the Iraq veteran.
