Jase Robertson is best known for being one of the bearded men from the reality television show “Duck Dynasty.” The series portrayed the lives of the Robertson family and their family-operated business, Duck Commander. During its run from 2012 to 2017, the family made many headlines with their personal beliefs, outlandish beards, and the way they conducted themselves and their business. The show was so popular that it even sparked multiple spin-offs, giving viewers even more chances to get to know the Robertson family and see the men’s remarkable bearded faces.
The show followed the lives of Jase alongside his brothers, father, and uncle. Growing up with his father, Phil Robertson, who was known as the town’s duck commander, Jase wanted to be just like him and spent as much time with him as possible to learn the ins and outs of duck hunting. They went on various hunting expeditions together to build their bond as father and son, leading to Jase eventually developing the same passion as his old man. Jase’s love for the great outdoors and the sport of duck hunting first started around the time he was eight years old and has continued to flourish throughout his adulthood.
While many TV viewers and fans of “Duck Dynasty” grew used to seeing the men of the Robertson family donned with their camouflage outfits and long beards, Jase decided to change up his look following the show’s end. He completely shaved off his beard, leaving his face bare and visible for the first time in years, and he looked absolutely incredible.

“Duck Dynasty” was a highly successful show from the A&E network that followed the lives of Jase and the rest of the duck-hunting Robertson family. The show brought in plenty of viewers curious about the family business and intrigued by the way they looked and acted. During its run, the show received a Teen Choice Awards nomination for Choice TV Male Reality Star and a Critics’ Choice Television Awards nomination for Best Reality Series.
The series sparked a number of spin-off series, including “Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty” and “Going Si-ral.” The Robertson family even released a Christmas album under the UMG Nashville label in October 2013 titled “Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas.”
According to Country Rebel, the men of “Duck Dynasty” first began sporting long hair and long beards to prepare themselves for duck hunting season. Their long manes and beards would protect them from being outside in the cold for long periods of time, as well as help camouflage their faces while out in the wilderness. In their lives prior to starring on the A&E network, most of the Robertson family men would shave their beards after duck season was over.
However, their contracts for “Duck Dynasty” required that they maintained their long hair and beards throughout the entire time of filming, meaning they could no longer shave after the season ended. After “Duck Dynasty” came to an end in 2017, fans were curious about which male family member would be the first to finally shave his beard and cut his long locks. It would be the first time that the general public would get to see what the Robertson men looked like underneath their staple appearances.

Jase’s Extreme Makeover
Without having to wait for too long, Jase stepped up to the plate in September 2017 and did the honors of showing the world his brand new look. The transformation was shocking as Jase went from having extremely long hair and an even longer beard to having a clean, short haircut and smooth face. According to Bearded Blade, Jase shaved his beard in an effort to raise awareness about cleft lips and palates and promote his daughter’s, Mia Moo Fund.
To help promote the fund and raise awareness for a great cause, Jase announced that he would shave off his beard once $100,000 was raised, as per Bearded Blade. Even though the goal was not met, Jase shaved off his beard for everyone to see. His daughter, Mia, explained that it had been about eight years since she had seen her dad without a beard, as per Bearded Blade.
In the past, Jase’s wife Missy had expressed the desire to see her husband beardless, as per Country Rebel. During a Facebook Live, she talked about what it was like seeing her husband without a beard and what she thought about his fresh look. “It is fabulous,” she said. “I love it! I got my husband back, the one that I married 27 years ago.”
With such a drastic makeover, it surely took some time for everyone to adjust to Jase’s new appearance, but it wasn’t long before Jase ultimately returned to his staple look. “He’s growing it right back out,” Missy revealed, as Jase was already preparing for the upcoming duck season.
