Irish dancers Nicola Byrne and Alan Kenefick lead a troupe of incredible Irish dancers with nimble toes in a 2009 stage performance.

And this performance does have an element not usually experienced in Irish dancing - drummers!

The group of dancers waited patiently backstage. The crowd begins cheering as the golden lights shine out. As the music begins, two of their best dancers begin flying across the stage. They don't miss a beat.

At first, it seems like they are performing a classic Irish dance. Their bodies move effortlessly to the music of their ancestors.

That's when it happens.

Suddenly, a couple of drummers walk onto the stage. They're pounding their drums with tribal beats. The mood of the room instantly changes. You can feel the anticipation. As the drum beats sound, the dancers separate. Then the male dancer and drummers begin a duel of rhythm.

The male Irish dancer begins moving his feet so fast that you can barely see them. It's as if he's floating! Then without warning, a dozen dancers glide onto the stage! They're bodies dance in unison to the same beat as the drums. Their feet pound the stage in powerful echoes.

The dancers grasp hands as they continue their river dance. They're so tight with their moves. It's as if they're Irish angels sent down from heaven to grace this stage. The last few moves blow the audience's minds! Their talent is overwhelming.

In the end, the dancers stand tall and proud. The crowd cheered loudly as the dancers smiled.

Check the performance out for yourself!
