At an organization called Animal Aid Unlimited, the workers rarely know what they should expect the day to bring. Recently, the caring volunteers found themselves faced with a huge task when they received a call about a dog that had fallen into a well.

When the rescue team got to the large well, they found the poor dog struggling in the water. She tried to hold onto the rock walls of the well, only to lose her grip and fall back into the water. The dog would tread water and swim for several minutes, then grab back onto the wall with her paws.

It was a heartbreaking sight to see and some of the rescue team suspect that the dog might have been swimming for several hours, battling for her life, before the organization was able to arrive.

The rescue team quickly set up a plan to help the dog. One of the team members climbed down using a rope and harness. Rather than being afraid, the dog swam right to him, as if she knew that he was her guardian angel.

She continued to cooperate as the team member put her in a special sling so that she could be pulled up out of the water and back to safety. The entire process looks frightening as the team members carefully maneuver her up the side of the well and back onto dry ground; however, the dog looks completely at peace and comfortable in the sturdy sling.

Once she was rescued, the team gave her a complete check to make sure that she was not injured, and then put her in a safe and dry area with water and food.

You can see in the dog’s eyes that she is thankful and happy now that she is resting in the pen. She’s not alone – one of the rescue team was still by her side at the end of the video clip, reaching out to pet her and assure her that she’s still in good hands.

At the end of the clip, viewers are reminded that rescue attempts like this cost money and that the organization always welcomes donations. Do you have any special animal groups that you donate to? Let us know in the comments and be sure to pass this article along!
