The Pearson family had one of their regular Amazon deliveries for their baby Lucas' medical supplies. Due to his congenital heart defect, he's most at risk for coronavirus as well as its worse effects. The couple from Nampa, Idaho, was moved after watching delivery driver Monica Salinas praying for Lucas after she was recorded on their doorcam.

Delivery drivers are some of the most essential workers out there. People are used to seeing them quite often and don't usually think twice about them. However, ever since the public has begun practicing health and hygiene measures against coronavirus, delivery drivers are more valuable than ever.

People who would prefer to stay at home rather than risk contracting coronavirus, or who can only find certain products online, depend on delivery drivers for their daily and special needs. It is especially true for people in states which are on lockdown.

That was the case for an Idaho couple and their 8-month-old baby, Lucas. Raquel and Derek Pearson, both 30, rely on Amazon for Lucas' medical supplies which enable them to feed him. For example, he needs special thickeners so he won't aspirate his formula.

Making sure he always has enough medical supplies is a priority for the couple, and they leave a note for the delivery drivers to show appreciation for their work, complete with a photo of Lucas and a description of his condition and medical needs.

However, it wasn't a typical Amazon delivery for the couple. They were moved to tears by an Amazon delivery driver named Monica Salinas who was dropping off Lucas' medical supplies that day, reports the Daily Mail. Monica saw the note on their front door and she was immediately humbled. Her heart was touched and she made a prayer for Lucas to stay safe and healthy. She then made the sign of the cross before leaving and moving on to her next delivery.

The Pearson's doorcam recorded her seemingly small gesture, and the couple was amazed at what they were watching. Raquel posted the video on Facebook and it instantly became viral. But that wasn't the end of Monica's support for Lucas. The 41-year-old also happened to be a skilled musician and wrote Lucas a song. So popular was the story that Inside Edition reported on her and the Pearson family. It gained over 650,000 views in less than a week, and over 28,000 likes, and 1,500 comments. The value of caring clearly appealed to many people regardless of their faith.

Many people agree that it's important to build community and support one another no matter their religion. By caring for one another, people see beyond roles such as worker and go beyond everyday routines. Such was the case for the Pearson family and Amazon delivery driver Monica Salinas.

Monica's prayer was a heartfelt gesture that became famous because of its sincerity. She returned caring back to the Pearsons who made an effort to always appreciate the delivery drivers who help them take care of their son Lucas.
