Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy have lived in their St. Charles, Illinois home since 2015 — the year after they married. They bought it for $1.1 million and spent the following decade making it unmistakably theirs. The door handles are shaped like the initials "D" and "J." There is a poker table with both their names on it. The aesthetic, which they once described to PEOPLE as "music man-meets-glam fashion," runs through every room. They clearly loved it.

Now it is on the market for $2.8 million. And they are heading to Las Vegas.

The listing — a 7,236-square-foot Tudor-style home on 1.26 acres, with a pool, theater, gym, sauna, and four bedrooms — was confirmed by listing agent Cory Jones of eXp Realty. McCarthy confirmed the couple's next destination with characteristic directness: when followers asked where they were moving, she replied simply: "Going to Vegas."

The move makes practical sense. Wahlberg's New Kids on the Block residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas has been extended through late 2026, with additional shows scheduled through the autumn. Relocating to the city where he is performing removes the logistical friction of a long-distance touring life.

It was not California, which had been the earlier speculation. In a conversation with PEOPLE, Wahlberg had discussed the possibility of moving west to be closer to his sons. "Probably the only thing that could ever get me back to California is my two sons," he said. "And if they keep asking, Jenny and I are going to start going on realtor.com and figuring things out." His sons won the consideration. Las Vegas won the argument.

Wahlberg and McCarthy have been married since August 2014 — celebrating their 12-year anniversary this summer. The Illinois home was the first they shared as a married couple, and the renovation they put into it reflected the investment, both financial and emotional, that they brought to the life they were building. Chicago-based designer John Wolf of Wolf Home Design helped them execute the vision, which mixed Wahlberg's Boston-bred, music-world sensibility with McCarthy's more glamorous aesthetic. The result was a home that was, by any account, very much them.

McCarthy's connection to Illinois runs deep — she grew up in suburban Chicago and has spoken about how much the state means to her. Wahlberg, a Boston native and founding member of New Kids on the Block, adopted it. The sale marks the end of a chapter that was always shaped by geography — McCarthy in Los Angeles for "The Masked Singer," Wahlberg in New York for "Blue Bloods" and now Las Vegas for NKOTB, with Illinois as the home base they returned to between all of it.

Las Vegas will be a different kind of home base — one organized around the residency rather than a quiet suburb outside Chicago. The Dolby Live shows run through October 2026. If the residency continues to extend, the logic of a Las Vegas base only becomes stronger.
