In October, Britain’s ITV released a documentary about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s African tour, titled “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey,” for which the royal couple invited journalists to follow them on their 10-day journey in the southern part of the continent.

The documentary saw both the Sussexes get raw and honest about their personal struggles with the scrutiny they’ve come under by British tabloids, which prompted them to seek legal action in October. Now, in a recent interview with Nigel Farage, Donald Trump weighed in on the drama and gave his two cents about the Sussex’s struggle with the British media.

During the interview, Farage mentioned the scrutiny the Duke and Duchess of Sussex come under from the British media, asking Trump if he felt “sorry” for Meghan.

“Well, I’ve been watching her interviews and I’ve seen it and she’s taken it very personally,” Trump told Farage.  “I guess you have to be a little bit different than that but she takes it very, very personally and I can understand it. But I don’t know her.”

Trump also touched on meeting Prince Harry earlier this year, saying the Duke is “great,” and added that the whole royal family is “terrific.”

“I will say I met Harry, he’s great, I met him when I was over… we had something that was so incredible recently, that was what 5 months ago now, how time flies. But I got to meet Harry and he is really a fine young man.”

Earlier this month, the producers of “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey,” released a clip where Meghan was quizzed on her newfound motherhood. In a rare moment of letting her guard down, Meghan was very honest about the pressure she is currently feeling.

“Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging. And then when you have a newborn, you know. And especially as a woman, it’s a lot,” she said in the clip.

Last month, the Duchess of Sussex launched legal action against UK based media Associated Newspapers, citing the “misuse of private information, infringement of copyright and breach of the Data Protection Act 2018” as their claims against the publishers.
Her husband the Duke of Sussex immediately released a statement towards the public condemning the “ruthless campaign” against his wife by the British tabloid press, drawing comparisons to his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales.
