Doggy Daycare Closes So Delivery Driver Begins Taking His Pups Out With Him To Make Deliveries

Taking care of pets can be a full-time job on its own, but you've got to go to work to be able to provide for those furry members of your family. Most people use pet sitters or "daycares" to care for their animals while they are away. But what if those services aren't available?

You can't leave your pets without care. Delivery driver Daniel Nava from California had no option but to bring his pups to work with him.

Due to the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic that rattled the globe at the beginning of this year, pet owners everywhere are struggling to find services to care for their pets while they are away at their jobs.

Even now many "doggy daycare" and pet-sitting services are being slow to open back up, so pet owners are being forced to get creative in finding ways to make sure their pets are safe and happy during their work hours. One of these pet owners that was faced with a huge dilemma is Daniel Nava, a delivery driver for FedEx in California.

Daniel has two dogs that are a huge part of his family and his heart, and on the three days per week he has to go in to work, he took the two of them to a doggy daycare so they wouldn't be left home alone during his shifts.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic forced this particular doggy daycare and others like it to close down, leaving Daniel's pups with nowhere to go and a big problem for Daniel to solve.

In true dog-lover fashion, Daniel decided to bring both of the pups on his routes with him so they were taken care of during the day. The two dachshund pups even got a makeover when Daniel used old work uniforms to make mini uniforms for both of them, complete with the coolest pair of sunglasses!

The two dogs, Chorizo and Cocoa, weren't new to the delivery driver life though, because they had spent one Christmas Eve delivering packages with their dad all dressed up to spread Christmas cheer. Daniel commented that while it isn't ideal, having the two dogs along for his routes makes them more enjoyable. He keeps the dog safe during rides in the truck by using harnesses that are attached to his seat. Daniel hands down has the cutest co-workers at FedEx!
