Dog Was Too Weak To Keep Her Puppies Safe So She Hid Them Away In Collapsed Building

The maternal instinct often remains strong even in the worst circumstances. This was the case for a doggy mom who was found taking care of her puppies in a nearly collapsed abandoned building.

When volunteers were able to reach her, they found her puppies happily nursing and completely unaware of how much danger they were all facing.

Even though the doggy mom was still able to nurse her puppies, volunteers quickly realized that she was suffering from a serious case of mange, a contagious condition that irritates the skin and causes the loss of fur.

She also appeared to be quite weak, the result of a lack of food. Despite this, the puppies seemed to be in good condition and of good size, although they did show signs of a mild case of mange.

The first priority was to remove them from the unsafe conditions in the shaky building and relocate them to a safer location. The mommy dog and all puppies were scooped up and placed into a crate for transport.

After that, volunteers worked to get the puppies and their mom a medicated bath that would help to heal their skin. And of course, the mother dog was fed so that she could continue to nurse her precious pups.

Once mom and her puppies are treated for their ailments and regain their strength, they will be ready to be adopted into their forever homes. Send this story of a doggy mom caring for her litter against all odds to a mom you know who would do anything to protect her children.
