Duane Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, was rushed to the hospital from his Colorado home over the weekend after he experienced chest pains. The doctors confirmed he did not suffer a heart attack, however, he is not out of the woods yet.

The 66-year-old TV star was at home when he complained of feeling pain in his chest. He was rushed to the hospital at once. This turn of events comes after a long line of tragedies for the well-loved TV star. His beloved wife Beth Chapman died back in June this year after a two-year battle with cancer. Dog took her death hard, expressing how his family was struggling with it in an interview with People this August:

"Each one copes differently. There’s a few that’s really barely making it," Chapman said. "We don't know what to do. We haven't read, we weren't prepared."

TMZ reports that Dog did not suffer a heart attack, after running tests the doctors concluded his incident was stress and blood pressure-related. A source tells TMZ that Dog was released from the hospital on monday.

However, family members are worried about Dog because of the recent toll Beth’s death has taken on him as TMZ reports. Dog also previously stated that his wife's death had taken his appetite, revealing that he had lost a considerable amount of weight in the weeks following Beth's death.

News of his heart emergency, therefore, hit fans and friends hard. However, his official twitter states that Dog is so far comfortable and under good care:

"I can confirm Dog is under doctor's care and is resting comfortably. Thank you for all of your well wishes - keep 'em coming."
