Duane "Dog" Chapman’s son Leland Chapman has reportedly been hospitalized following an injury during a manhunt this Tuesday afternoon.

The bounty hunt marks the family’s first since the death of Duane’s wife Beth Chapman on June 26th. Beth passed away at the age of 51 following a two year battle with cancer.

According to AL.com, spokesperson for Chapman confirmed that he 42-year-old tore his ACL and will require surgery, which means he will won’t be able to take part in any man hunts for the next six weeks.

According to the source, the Chapmans were hunting down Edward Morales in Alabama. Morales is a bail fugitive who had pleaded guilty to harassment last month but failed to show up at his hearing.  Chapman reportedly got injured in an attempt to subdue Morales, who has now been taken into custody.

“The guy fought like hell," a source told The Blast.
