Beth Chapman’s loving husband has been fully suffering since his wife’s passing on June 26. Dog and Beth starred on the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” reality show together, and he was by her side every moment of her several-year-long battle with throat cancer up until her last breaths.

He is trying to be a rock during this hard time, but his body is starting to feel the strain and he recently told the press that he has lost 17 pounds in two weeks.

Getting over the loss of his wife for thirteen years obviously isn’t a walk in the park for Dog. He says he is still in the mode of the same routine as all of those years together.

"And then I wake up in the middle of the night and I see her and it doesn't register that [it] ain't her,” He told ET. “I'm still there."

He says he’s used to checking up on her in the middle of the night, especially after her cancer diagnosis. He is still used to rolling over and touching her.

The loss is also taking a physical toll, and he just can’t bring himself to eat. "I can't eat. Two bites, I'm full. I got to force feed myself like I force fed her," he said to ET. He also counted on Beth to read menus for him in dimly-lit restaurants, and notes that eating ice chips helps, but he’s lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks.

Dog and his whole family are going through a very tough grieving process, and for Dog personally, he decided to take that pain and use it to help others. He explained a situation when he met a man who lost his wife six months prior, and felt an instant brotherhood. Just being there for somebody makes all the difference, and Dog knows that.

“That's why I'm going through it,” He said to ET. “But I use that thing that's bad to help me help others."

We are so very sorry for Dog’s loss. Let’s send the family our thoughts and prayers, what would you like to say to him during this time
