Dog The Bounty Hunter Says He And Fiancée Francie Frane Are Getting Married In September

America’s favorite and most well-known bounty hunter, Duane “Dog” Chapman, announced that he would be marrying Francie Frane on Sept. 2 during an Aug. 10 episode of the “Two Guys From Hollywood” podcast.
Duane, or Dog the Bounty Hunter as he’s known on his reality TV shows, lost his fifth wife, Beth Chapman, to throat cancer in 2019. Beth, who also starred on Dog’s shows, was married to Duane for 13 years.
Friends, fans and family members joined Duane in June 2019 at Fort DeRussy Beach to celebrate Beth’s life and legacy at a memorial service. To honor Beth and her connection to the island of Hawaii, she was sent off with a “paddle out,” a type of memorial service typically dedicated to honoring those who lost their lives at sea while surfing.
During the service, the attendees “paddle out” on either a surfboard or a floatation device to form a circle in the ocean and place flowers. According to TMZ, Beth requested that she be memorialized in Hawaii in true Hawaiian style.
Ten months after Duane said goodbye to Beth, the reality TV star found love once again, proposing to Frane at their home in Colorado back in May 2020. Frane, 52, is a rancher from Colorado who also lost her partner, Bob, to cancer before Beth’s passing in 2019.
During Tuesday’s episode of “Two Guys From Hollywood,” Duane used the opportunity to open up about his relationship with Frane, speaking to their wedding date and how Duane moved on from losing Beth, the love of his life.

"I'm getting married," Duane announced on the podcast. "We went to the venue, picked it out yesterday, looked at it. Man, it costs a lot to get married."
“This isn’t just a wedding ceremony, it’s going to be a marriage,” Dog added in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Tuesday, August 10. “I knew Francie was the one almost straight away, and we’re both looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.”
In an August 2019 interview with Us Weekly, Duane said that while he planned to date after losing Beth, he would never marry again. In Tuesday’s podcast episode, the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” star again addressed how difficult it was to move on and be with someone else after losing Beth.
"Francie's husband passed away over three years ago, Beth passed away over two years ago, and I felt very bad about even wanting to have someone else after Beth," Duane explained on the podcast. "And then when I went to the Bible, the Genesis, and found out how Adam got Eve, as I was going to find the exact story, I saw the scripture that says, 'God does not want a man to be alone.'”
Back when Duane first announced his engagement to Frane in May 2020, the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” star told TMZ Live the story of how the two met after they had both lost their partners.
"For a living, she’s a rancher and she recently lost her husband to cancer six months before I lost Beth. So we hopped on the phone, started talking to each other, crying and consoling each other, and then one thing led to another and it's just incredible that I've been able to meet someone like her," Duane said in the interview.

"With Francie, I'm allowed to speak about Beth, we speak about her husband. We cry. We hold each other," he added.
Beyond Dog the Bounty Hunter’s upcoming marriage, fans are likely wondering whether a new show is in the works. ScreenRant reports that a few signs point to the possibility of a new series, though the details are still up in the air. For example, Duane shared a trailer for a show called “Dog Unleashed,” which was set to air in April 2021. However, the show seems to have been canceled by the production company, Unleashed Entertainment, due to Duane violating certain contractual obligations. With that said, ScreenRant reports that his social media feed seems to indicate that another reality TV series is on its way. Some of the evidence includes multiple Instagram posts in which Duane is posing next to camera equipment and a July 2021 post with the caption "Another show in the can!"
Landing another show is likely important for Duane, as he admitted that he was “broke” in a January 2020 interview with The New York Times. Along with years of medical bills that have piled up, Duane has to support his large family, which includes 12 children and four ex-wives.
Despite his financial troubles, Duane seems to be focused on his newfound love for Frane. Back in May 2020, he took to Instagram to write, “I scream & Cry Beth where are you why did you leave me then I look up & see you Francie & the pain turns to a smile I LOVE YOU WOMAN !!”
