When Valentine’s Day comes up, many people remember loved ones that have passed away. One of those people is Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman. Beth Chapman died on June 26, at the age of 51, after succumbing to her throat cancer after a long fight. Now the first Valentine’s Day without his wife has come up, and Dog has posted a tribute to his late wife on Instagram.

The post features a touching slideshow of Beth among friends and family throughout the years. The post’s caption reads “A lot of valentines days memories that will last forever.” Dog has mentioned in several interviews over the last months that moving on has been hard for him. The slideshow shows that this still applies now more than ever.

In a PEOPLE Now interview, Dog talked openly about how he and Beth had talked about what would happen after her passing, especially regarding any future relationships he might have. He revealed that he promised her he would keep her name tattooed on his chest and refrain from remarrying.

“And she said to me, ‘We are human, okay?'” the reality star continued. “And probably the same thing I’d say to her: ‘I know you’re gonna have a boyfriend, I hope you have 10, but don’t go fricking marry one, and say those words. Don’t you dare do that.’ I would say that, and she did say that to me.”

Considering how vocal Dog has been about his love for Beth, fans were justifiably surprised by his supposed relationship to family friend Moon Angell. Moon had moved in with Dog following Beth’s death. During a recent episode of The Dr. Oz Show, Dog even went so far as to propose on screen to Moon, who reacted visibly surprised and shocked.

She went on to say, that she and Dog were friends and that she didn’t see him in any other way. Dog himself went on to add that he had sprung this surprise on her to put the rumors of a relationship between the two of them to rest. According to Dog, Moon is a family friend and good friend of his late wife who is helping him through his grief.
