Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman has been very open about the struggles of losing his wife Beth Chapman to cancer in late June. He recently broke his silence on the possibility of having another romantic relationship and also said what his late wife had to stay about it before she passed.

Beth Chapman passed away unexpectedly on June 26th of this year amid her battle with throat cancer, she was 51-years-old. Duane talked with Page Six about his weight loss since the passing of his wife and looking on the bright side he said,

“For three days, I’ve been eating again,” he said. “I dropped two sizes in pants, I’m a little faster now because weight slows you down, I think I’m actually a little healthier now.”

Although Beth's sudden passing came as a shock, the couple had known that a day like this would come. The bounty huntress told him that he should never marry anyone else.

"There will never be another Mrs. Dog," he said to Entertainment Tonight.

Duane also added that he is unsure how long it will be before he becomes romantic with someone else again. "I walk by all these girls... I said, 'Hey, Mama, I'll make you famous,'" he told ET.

"They're not really my girlfriends. I'm not saying I'm not gonna have one, 'cause I will, [but] I'm not gonna get married."

However despite his possible relationships for the future in the present Duane still feels very much alone.

"It's really hard alone, because as soon as you get alone, bam, it hits you. So, I try not to be alone," he said.
