Dog The Bounty Hunter Mourns Late Daughter Barbara On 15th Anniversary Of Her Passing
Duane 'Dog' Chapman, famous for his bounty hunting TV show, posted a touching tribute on his Instagram account to his late daughter Barbara on Thursday. Barbara passed away in a car accident 15 years earlier on May 21st.
Dog's caption read, "15 years ago today My Barbara Katie went to be w/ JESUS" alongside a photograph of young Barbara with her baby Travis. The ethereal photograph features the mother/son duo behind a sheer curtain blowing in the wind.
Supporters gave their thoughts and prayers in the post's comments, reassuring Dog by calling him a "strong man" whose "strength comes from God."
InTouch Weekly reports that Dog's daughter tragically passed away in a 2006 car accident just before her 24th birthday in Fairbanks, Alaska. Her obituary on Legacy reads that Barbara-Katie Chapman was "sweet, bubbly," and "bright and beautiful." Barbara's mother was Lyssa Chapman, Dog's third wife.
Dog has faced a great deal of tragedy lately, also mourning his wife Beth Chapman who passed away from cancer last June at the age of 51 according to Page Six. In the following Instagram post on his account, Dog also posted a tribute to his wife on what would have been their anniversary. He writes in the caption, about Beth:
