Duane Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, was rushed to the hospital from his Colorado home over the weekend after he experienced chest pains.

The doctors confirmed he did not suffer a heart attack and that his chest pains were stress-related. Duane says he believes he suffered a broken heart.

The 66-year-old TV star was at home when he complained of pain in his chest. He was rushed to the hospital at once. This turn of events comes after a long line of tragedies for the well-loved TV star. His beloved wife and co-star Beth Chapman died back in June of this year after a two-year battle with throat cancer.

The death came unexpectedly and as a shock to the family. “No, you're never, ever prepared. You can't prepare," Dog told Entertainment Tonight. "There is no way. I did not know that this was going to happen that day."

When Dog was rushed to the hospital he told FOX31 Denver he couldn’t breath so he asked his assistant for help. “It was like I ran a 3 or 4-mile run-- You know how you feel when you get like that? And all I did was work out.”

Dog's heart issues may require surgery as TMZ reports. After undergoing an angiogram it was confirmed Dog did not suffer from a heart attack. However, doctors believe Dog's heart issues are stress and blood pressure-related.

“I think basically I had a broken heart,” Dog told FOX31. “A lot of psychological things go through your mind when something like this happens so you know something’s gotta break.

A representative for Dog released a statement on the bounty hunter's Instagram:

"Dog is back at home and resting comfortably, He is overwhelmed by the support of fans and friends from around the world, and is deeply touched by the outpouring of prayers, love, and encouragement."
