Dog The Bounty Hunter has apparently proposed to his new girlfriend, Moon Angell, as shown in a preview clip on the Dr. Oz Show.

Duane 'Dog' Chapman lost his wife Beth Chapman to throat cancer seven months prior to proposing to Moon Angell. Moon had previously been Beth's assistant and dated Dog's son before beginning a relationship with Dog. Now, the couple has sparked controversy with Moon Angell apparently "moving her things" into Beth's closet - at Dog's request.

Beth Chapman passed away on June 26 last year following a two year battle with throat cancer. Duane previously confirmed to Radar News that he is seeing Moon Angell, who was his late wife Beth’s assistant. "Moon has been a trustworthy and loyal friend to me for over 20 years. She has been with my family through many ups and downs," Chapman told the publication.

In a recent preview from the "Dr. Oz Show," Duane is seen proposing to Moon Angell in a tell-all interview. Duane's family has voiced their anger and concerns over Duane dating Beth's previous assistant and his son's ex-girlfriend.

Chapman’s revelation comes just days after his daughter Lyssa chapman called her dad out on Twitter after he posted a photo of himself with Angell.

“If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step-mom died what would you do?” her post reads. “If you went to your mother’s closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do?”

Her sister Cecile also took to the platform to rant about the pair.

“I've been very quiet concerning the circumstances but tbh what kinda "friend" moves into a dead friends house with their husband?!” She wrote. “And ACTS LIKE THEY DID NOTHING WRONG?”

Moon Angell has addressed the controversy, saying she moved her things into the closet for Dog's own good.

"Here's what happened. When I got into the house, he would walk by the closet and bawl, and walk by the closet and bawl, and shut the door and then open the door. Then he would go in, I think this is pretty intimate, but he would smell Beth and he would go in there and sit down and cry and cry and cry."

Moon alleged Chapman ordered her to “take Beth’s things out of the closet," which Dog himself confirmed.

“So it wasn’t a negative thing,” she explained. “It was because he just couldn’t do it anymore.”

“Once she did it, I was like relieved,” Dog added, visibly choked up. “And then I walked by and it was empty, and I’m like, ‘Oh, God.’ I said ‘Moon, put some of your stuff in there.’ She said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘Moon, it’s an order.'”

The Bounty hunter also used his appearance on the show to "propose" to his new girlfriend."

"I am a lot happier with her here, with her around," Duane said on the preview. However, Moon admitted that she has made a lot of enemies because of her newfound relationship with Dog. Dog's proposal comes after he said he would never marry again after Beth's death. He had previously told Radar news

"Moon is experienced. It's just that. Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her. There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn't mean I have to be so sad."

The preview clip did not show what Moon Angell replied with, however, sources told TMZ that the couple is not engaged and that Duane got caught up in the moment and became overly emotional.

Moon Angell was also the maid of honor at Beth and Dog's wedding and has reportedly helped Dog through the mourning process which she is also going through as well.
