Dog the Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, shared a touching post on Instagram this week, asking his fans to honor the first anniversary of his late wife Beth Chapman's death on June 26. Beth tragically passed away last year from cancer at the age of 51.
Both Dog and his daughter Cecily wish to keep Beth's spirit alive by honoring her through a ceremony in Hawaii for those who wish to attend, as well as a hashtag that fans from other parts of the world can use.
The star of A&E's Dog the Bounty Hunter, which aired from 2004 to 2012, Dog took to Instagram this week in honor of his late wife, Beth. He posted a photo from Beth's funeral last year, which featured pink long stem roses and lilies alongside a stunning photo of her. He captioned the post:
"#fortheloveofbeth On June 26, 2020 Cecily B Chapman @cecilybeezee will be hosting a 1 year remembrance of her beloved Mom Beth Chapman! #fortheloveofbeth
The Paddle out will begin at 5:30pm at Waimanalo Beach. Prayer will take place on the beach and in the water. Brig your board and flowers so we can remember Mrs. Dog the right way. Not in Hawaii. Beth revealed she had been diagnosed with stage four throat cancer in September 2017, and although it'd gone into remission, by November 2018 it had returned and had spread to her lungs. Her death came suddenly, as she was put in a medically-induced coma in hospital days before she passed away on June 26, 2019. Tragically, she was only 51-years-old.
Dog's daughter Cecily also posted the same message as her father to Instagram, however with a different photo of her late mom Beth. Cecily had told The Sun in an interview that it had been the "worst year of my life." She's turned her pain to something positive, however, as she's launched a memorial clothing line in honor of her mother, and is interacting with fans of her mom, in hopes of keeping her "legacy alive."
Meanwhile, Doc has said that Beth had told him that she knew she was going to die from cancer. As reported by The Sun, Doc explained: "She woke me up one night and told me 'Daddy, I'm going to die,' and I said, 'No you're not.' So she had accepted it and I would not."

Despite her untimely death, it's truly heartwarming to see both Doc and Cecily keeping Beth's spirit alive, even after she's gone. Doc has also found love again with a Colorado-based rancher named Francie Frane, and the couple is engaged.
