Dog Tenderly Praises Baby For First Crawl

Some children are blessed to have a dog as their first best friend. Naturally, not every dog will be well-suited to being around children, and you should talk with your doctor prior to bringing a baby home to a dog. You'll also want to make sure you know how your dog will react to the introduction of a new family member.

However, when you're in the clear, it can create some adorable moments for your human and furry children throughout their lives. In the case of one infant, she is determined to make it across the room to her best friend, a chocolate lab. The dog waits patiently, giving her a look that is more than encouraging.

Crawling is often a difficult task for infants. It can take some time for them to get the hang of it. For many children, it can feel like it's almost impossible, and they're likely to try to give up. However, this baby girl, when she first realized she could crawl, had one of the best motivators in the entire world.

The family's chocolate lab–who, according to her owner, has been eternally patient, sweet, and caring towards the family's baby–was waiting for the baby on the other side of the room, cheering her on with just a look.

According to her parents, the baby has absolutely adored their labrador since day one. The black lab is approximately eight years old, and she has been a constant companion of the child since she came home.

She was careful and watched after her, and was even patient when the baby would grab her fur. In the past, they cuddled together for naptime, as well. These two, essentially, are the best of friends.

When the baby started trying to crawl, it's clear she had a goal in mind. Her best friend, the beautiful black lab, was on the other side of the room. She wanted to make it over to her, and the lab decided to do everything in her power to encourage the baby to crawl. The baby has her tongue stuck out, adorably determined and making happy gurgles as she looks at the dog, who wags her tail and watches as the baby starts to inch closer and closer.

The baby uses her arms, her legs, and her thighs to move forward. With each excited shriek, you can see her furry friend's tail wag just a bit more. She's excited that her little sibling is doing her best to become mobile, and she wants her to make it across the room to say hello.

By the look in her eyes, you can tell she knows that if she wanted to, she could move towards the baby to say hi. However, for over a minute, she stays entirely still and lets her little sister make her way towards her. Each time she makes progress, her tail wags and her eyes get just a bit wider. It's as if she's saying, "Come on! You're almost there! You can do this!" And the baby giggles more, agreeing.

However, once she's close enough, the lab can't help herself. She scoots forward just a little bit, stretching her neck to come face to face with the elated baby. She then sticks out her tongue, licking the tip of her nose to tell her little sister congratulations.

Don't we all wish we had someone supporting us like that? We thought this was absolutely adorablelet us know how you felt! We only hope we can all be this motivated to accomplish our own goals moving forward.
