Dog Pays Visit To Fence To Get Soothing Massage From Neighbor Pup

A video shared by Rumble on June 17th, 2020 shows a dog getting a massage from a neighboring pooch through a fence in the backyard.

Let's be real here: life can get pretty stressful, and these days, we are all a little tense. Doctors will often recommend that people who experience extreme cramping, shoulder, neck, and back pain go to a massage clinic for treatment.

All we can think is that maybe this dog got some advice from his doctor and was told to relax. His owner caught him on camera sitting by the fence in the backyard. Dogs get curious, so that was no surprise. What was a surprise, however, was when the owner realized his dog was essentially receiving a massage from the dog next door.

The owner captioned the video with text that reads, "Am I tripp[i]n?" and realistically, we don't blame them. It's certainly not every day you walk outside to find your dog getting what, to us, certainly looks like a professional-grade massage. We would be confused too, but you can tell that their dog is enjoying every moment of it. That's what counts, right?

Even dogs get stressed out from time to time. When we, as humans, get stressed out or are uncomfortable, we're likely to come up with what professionals call "coping methods" to help us handle our emotions. Dogs do the same thing when they're stressed. Usually, though, a dog's coping method involves chewing on his owner's furniture or peeing on the carpet. Maybe this dog just has very high standards for relaxation. 

When this dog's owner walked outside, we doubt they expected to see their dog getting a massage. Their dog is leaning against their wood-slated fence, which has gaps between each plank of wood. The neighbor dog, on the other side of the fence, apparently noticed that his friend could use a little help and the dog a helping hand—or, in this case, a helping paw.

As the owner's dog leans against the fence, the neighbor dog appears to dig at the owner's dog's back. At first glance, you might think that it would be painful. However, during the video, you see the dog stretch and lean into it. Clearly, he's enjoying the massage he's receiving from his friend. It's right at the shoulder blades, too, which tends to be where people hold quite a lot of tension. In dog's cases, it tends to be where they like to get scratched the most, too. 

While we're sure that the idea of a massage has never really occurred to a dog before, we all know that they love to get pets. The neighbor dog is probably doing his best to play with the owner's dog, but that can definitely be difficult from the other side of a fence. So, he does what he can—and the owner's dog just so happens to take advantage of it. If we walked out to find our dog getting an incredible massage, we would have to stop and film it, too.

Especially since their dog is just so relaxed throughout the course of the video. Dogs are strange creatures who have unique ways of interacting with each other. It can be difficult for us to understand what exactly they're trying to accomplish or convey to us when they want something, and sometimes—such as in this case—their actions can be a little puzzling and kind of hilarious. 

Imagine going outside to do your business and seeing your neighbor and just being like, "Hey, can you rub my shoulders?" Based on the way these two are reacting, we think it's almost a normal occurrence for the two.
