Dog Loves To Jump Into Owner's Arms To Greet Him

Everyone's seen cute videos of dogs anxiously awaiting the arrival of their owners only to jump into their laps with excitement. Their tails are wagging uncontrollably, and their tongues can't lick fast enough. These heartwarming displays of affection cement the age-old idea that dogs are truly man's best friend.

Some dogs seem to take this affection to an entire new level by literally jumping into the arms of their owners. While puppies would be much easier to catch and hold than full grown dogs, most young dogs aren't able to jump high enough to reach their owners when standing. This means that some large dogs leap off the ground with complete trust that their loving owner will hold them.

One golden retriever has taken this display of affection from an every once in a while event to a common reaction. As reported here at News.com.au Riley is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever who has mastered the art of jumping into her owners' arms. She even has her own Instagram page which captures her canine escapades and sheer cuteness. Riley's loving owners are a young couple who have taken a liking to her unique way of saying hello. They've recently compiled a video and put it on Instagram showing all of the times Riley leaps into their arms.

In the beginning of the video, Riley's owner signals for Riley to jump up into his arms and the trick is executed perfectly. The next scene sees her owner returning from grocery shopping. You might think that his hands are too full to catch his giant furball, but they've practiced this trick too often to fail. What about when mom comes home? Yup, Riley has the same reaction. Even without a prompt, she leaps into her mom's arms with excitement and love.

Riley's owners decided to have some fun with her unique trick. They placed angel wings on Riley's back and shot a slow motion clip of her jump. She looks like the prettiest, furriest angel ever. No jump would be complete without trying with a cape. Sure enough, it looks like Riley got a little more air on that jump.

This video has received thousands of views on Instagram. If you enjoyed this clip, show it to some people who love dogs.
